Tim Michael

Born in Australia in 1974, Tim is the youngest of five children from Burmese parents. From a young age, Tim served in his local church community and embraced his first leadership role at the age of sixteen.

Since graduating in 1995, Tim works professionally helping patients with cancer in Melbourne at Australia's largest specialist cancer centre. In 2000, Tim travelled to the UK where he served as a pastor on the Hillsong Church London worship team, while continuing to work with patients in cancer care. During this time Tim wrote and co-wrote songs that have changed lives around the world.

Eight years and three children later, he returned to Melbourne more certain of his purpose to build a church where people can simply find God.

Tim and his wife Cathy met at high school in the late 1980's and were married in December, 1997. They are now parents to three beautiful children, Ethan, Ella and Hope. Together they are inspired to build an extraordinary church for all people.

Tim is also passionate about what can be achieved when people align their values, link their lives and unite for a common cause. He believes the greatest example of this is the church.
